Product information
Honey plasters for wound healing - Urgo
Thanks to its Hydro-Honey pad , URGO Honey Healing Dressings absorb exudate, soothe, and promote the healing of your superficial wounds and burns. Its transparent, waterproof backing resists water and provides discreet protection.
Instructions for use:
In the case of a burn: first, keep the wound under cool (but not ice-cold) water for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn. If a blister forms, do not break it.
In all cases:
- Wash your hands with soap and water
- Clean the wound with water or saline solution. Disinfect the wound and surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). In the case of a burn, never use colored antiseptics such as eosin. Dry thoroughly with a sterile compress. Rinse with water or saline solution.
- Using a compress, carefully dry the lesion and the surrounding area. Stop any bleeding by applying pressure.
- Open the sachet and remove the dressing. Remove the protective tabs and apply the dressing to the wound. If the dressing is applied to a joint or moving part, its waterproofing may be reduced.
- Monitor the wound and its surrounding area regularly.
- The dressing should not remain in place for more than 5 days; it should be removed if it has not come off on its own. Change the dressing according to the instructions for use.
- To remove the dressing, gently pull it from one corner, parallel to the skin. Stretch and release the dressing repeatedly until it comes off. You can moisten the skin if needed.
Warning: Single-use product, do not reuse. Reusing a single-use product may cause infection. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
Precautions for use:
- For the treatment of localized wounds no larger than the size of the compress. If you do not see any improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor. This product contains honey. Do not use if you are allergic to honey.
- For any burns in children, ask your pharmacist for advice.
- If you experience clinical signs of local infection (redness spreading to undamaged skin, pain, purulent exudates, etc.), foreign bodies in the wound, significant bleeding, a bite, or a puncture with a sharp and/or contaminated object, consult your pharmacist or doctor.
- The URGO Honey healing dressing should be used as soon as the sachet is opened, and stored away from light.
- Remove the dressing gently and carefully from a child.
Format: Box containing 5 sterile dressings (4.5 x 7.5 cm)
